Как звонили по телефону, например, в 1888 году?
Звонивший человек снимал трубку и громко говорил телефонистке:
- Алло, барышня! Барышня! Как слышно, барышня?
- Я вас слышу. С кем прикажете соединить? – отвечала телефонистка.
- Барышня, прошу, соедините с вокзалом!
- Сию минуту!
Телефонистка брала в руки штекер на своем конце провода, который тянулся к коммутатору от телефона звонившего, и вставляла его в разъем с надписью «Вокзал». На вокзале тут же раздавался звонок. Смотритель снимал трубку:
- Алло!
Теперь звонивший человек мог сказать смотрителю то, что хотел.
