This is my grandmother.
When she cooks, I see only her back with two ropes from her apron. My little brother Keith loves to tug for them. Grandmother never berates him for it.
She turns to us from the stove and treats us with croutons.
Granny's toast is the most delicious. This is because it suits them well.
Mom says it's harmful. I do not believe.
It seems to me that my mother is simply afraid that she will not get anything.
